AION 2 Pet Selection Chest — What Opens It and Which Pet to Pick
The Pet Selection Chest is the choice step inside AION 2's launch reward: the mail's Advance: Pet Chest grants the Pagati pet automatically and one Advance: Pet Selection Chest, which you open for one of four companions — Papis, Silver Blade Rotan, Konutin Worker or Black Smoke Murute. The pick cannot be undone. Log in before December 1, 2026 to receive the mail; it expires December 8.
What the pet selection chest contains
The reward is a two-step chain, and the naming matters: the mail attaches the Advance: Pet Chest — the container. Activating it from your Cube (inventory) grants Pagati immediately — at Pet Insight Lv. 3 (MAX), with the Mount Glide owned effect per launch-window testing — along with one Advance: Pet Selection Chest. That second chest is the actual choice: activating it lists four pets, each with an eye icon that previews the standing and mounted animations before you commit. Set the quantity to 1 and confirm with Use, and the pick is locked — the remaining three options disappear.

The four options are the same four creatures our pet pages cover — and two different number systems describe them. The community database (built on the KR/TW live build) publishes three-level bonus lines; launch-window testing in the global client reads out much smaller one-line values at claim time. The two columns are not the same scale — Stamina 300→900 vs "+3 Stamina", a +10→+30 reduction line vs "0.1%". The practical read: the KR/TW values did not carry to the global client as-is, which resolves the "do these numbers transfer?" question our pet pages list as pending. On global numbers, Konutin Worker and Black Smoke Murute (3 Stamina each) are the only pets with a distinctive paper stat — the mount-speed and sprint lines read as +1 / 0.1% — so community guidance picks the Stamina pair or picks on looks; every option rides at the same speed.
Advanced pet selection chest — the naming, and the voucher question
Search results mix three spellings, and only one of them appears in the game. The in-game items use the “Advance:” prefix — Advance: Pet Chest and Advance: Pet Selection Chest — so pages titled “advanced pet selection chest" are describing the same two items with the adjective form. Nothing in the reward chain is named “Advanced Voucher”: we could not verify a separate voucher item in any source that documents the flow. The selection chest itself is the authorization — activating it is what presents the four-pet list, and no second token is required to make the choice. If an item with that name surfaces in the client, this page fills in.

The “two pet” confusion, explained
Searches for “AION 2 two pet” blend three different things, and untangling them is most of what this page is for:
- The reward itself is two pets. The launch mail grants Pagati automatically and one choice pet from the selection chest — so every qualifying account ends up with two companions from this one mail, which is why “two pet” queries usually mean “do I get two pets?” (yes) or “how do I get a second pet?” (open the selection chest).
- There is also a pet literally named “Two”. The global client's community pet database catalogues a special-bucket item-grant pet under exactly that name — unrelated to the launch reward, and with no officially explained reason for the name. That is the AION 2 pet called Two.
- A second chest follows later. An early quest delivers a separate reward — keep one of three, and community guidance singles out Fossa because it works as a ground mount. The other two options' names were not in the sources we could verify, so we name only what is confirmed (community-reported).
