AION 2 Interactive Map — Elysea, Asmodae & the Abyss on One Schematic

This AION 2 interactive map lays out the world as the launch client documents it: Elysea (Poeta 1–9, Verteron 10–45) for Elyos, Asmodae (Ishalgen 1–9, Altgard 10–45) for Asmodians, the contested Abyss between them, and the Vakron Sky Island Expedition — plus Eltnen and Morheim, announced for the global client after their July KR/TW debut (dashed on the map). It is a sourced schematic — not the in-game map, not to scale — and every zone card names its sources.

The verified AION 2 zone roster

AION 2's global client launched on October 5, 2026 with a compact world, and community databases have documented it fast. Two worlds — Elysea for Elyos and Asmodae for Asmodians — each hold a starting island and one wide main zone, and the Abyss sits between them as the contested faction-war layer. Every row below is sourced; the level bands follow the community leveling route, and the current level cap of 45 is the same community-documented number our AION 2 PvP and dungeons pages work with. The table also carries the two announced zones — Eltnen and Morheim — clearly separated from the live roster.

The dashed markers work differently, on purpose. Eltnen and Morheim are not global-server zones yet: NC announced them as the Chapter 1 zones at its Summer Festa Showcase, and they went live in the KR/TW service on July 1, 2026 — five months before the global client launched. They are drawn on the map because the announcement is official and the destinations are real, but they are labeled KR/TW only everywhere they appear, per this site's rule that KR/TW facts are never presented as global conclusions. When the Chapter 1 update reaches the global service, their style and level bands flip with it.

One honest exclusion remains: dungeon entrances. The Expedition roster below is solid, but which open-world zone holds each entrance is not documented anywhere we verified, so there are no dungeon pins to fabricate. The same discipline applies to the map's finer grain: every small marker — Verteron's two Cantas Valleys, the Abyss's Reshanta sub-regions and the Abyss Corridor — exists because a source we verify names it, not because a schematic looks better full.

The three realms of AION 2's world

The world splits three ways, and the split decides what kind of play you find in each part. Faction identity itself — what carries over, what the choice locks in — is covered on our AION 2 factions page; here is the geographic version.

Asmodae — Asmodian home world

The Asmodian home world. Documented launch zones: Ishalgen (1–9) and Altgard (10–45) — region maps live on Game8, route documented by MetaBot. Morheim is announced for the global client after its KR/TW Chapter 1 debut.

Elysea — Elyos home world

The Elyos home world. Documented launch zones: Poeta (1–9) and Verteron (10–45) — region maps live on Game8, route documented by MetaBot. Eltnen is announced for the global client after its KR/TW Chapter 1 debut.

The Abyss — Contested faction-war zone

The contested zone between the two home worlds — open-world faction war with its own PvE, running limited windows rather than staying open (community-reported). Its documented sub-regions — Lower and Middle Reshanta, the Abyss Corridor — carry the world-boss and siege schedule.

Two valves connect the home worlds: the Abyss itself, and Space-Time Rifts — temporary openings that let one faction invade the other's zones on the 3-hour cycle our AION 2 rift timer clocks. Both are community-documented mechanics; neither world map is officially published by NCSOFT.

What the in-game map tracks — the marker categories

However you explore — in game or on the community databases — the same seven marker families keep appearing. The names below come from Game8's interactive map legend, with Questlog's map adding portals and resources. What each one means is our plain-language reading: NCSOFT has published no official glossary for the global client, so treat the definitions as orientation, not documentation.

AION 2 in-game map marker categories
MarkerWhat it points at
Empyrean TraceCollectible trace points — the feathers feeding the feather-monolith progression our gear score guide covers
Hunting GroundsDesignated open-world farming areas for mobs and their drops
Field BossOpen-world boss spawns — Verteron's level-45 Kernon of the West is the documented example
DungeonInstanced dungeon entrances on the world map
StrongholdFortified points on the map — capture rules are not documented by our sources
VillageSettlements where services, vendors and quest givers cluster
KibeliskA respawn-anchor device in the lineage of the classic Aion kisk — exact rules unconfirmed
Portals & resources (Questlog)Travel gates and gatherable nodes — the gathering layer our crafting page explains

If you want the full pin-level experience, the community databases are the tools for that job — Game8's interactive map and Questlog's world map track thousands of markers across the documented zones, with filters per category. This page deliberately stays one level above them: the verified structure of the world, not a competing pin count.

Expeditions — the instanced layer beyond the world map

Five Expeditions anchor the launch-window endgame loop. Their names are solid — four are official launch-window names our AION 2 dungeons page has carried since before launch, and the fifth is documented by Game8 — but their open-world locations are not, which is why they appear here as a list and not as map pins.

AION 2 launch-window Expeditions
ExpeditionStatus in our sources
Krao CaveOfficial launch-window Expedition name; first stop of the Odyle Energy claims route.
Urugugu CanyonOfficial launch-window Expedition name; second on the community progression order.
Fire TempleOfficial launch-window Expedition name; a mid-route gear claim.
DraupnirOfficial launch-window Expedition name; the level-45 claim stop our gear score guide saves Odyle Energy for.
Vakron Sky IslandDocumented as an Expedition by Game8 with entry requirements and its own map — the guaranteed-chest source.
Source: Aion2 Codex — dungeons page (official launch-window Expedition names) + Game8 (Vakron Sky Island Expedition) — Cross-checked with Fextralife's Expeditions list and MetaBot's Vakron map; verified October 7, 2026 (https://aion2.wiki.fextralife.com/Expeditions) · Verified: 2026-10-07

The gear route through them is the same one our AION 2 gear score guide walks: Odyle Energy unlocks at level 22, and the guide's advice is to hold it until Draupnir at 45 — with Vakron Sky Island's guaranteed chest as the other big claim. That progression is community-reported from the guide's own run, not an official drop table.

How this map was built — and what it deliberately is not

The map above is an original schematic: shapes and positions are layout decisions in our own diagram, drawn to make the three-realm structure readable at a glance. It is not the in-game map, not to scale, and uses no official art — NCSOFT assets beyond in-game screenshots are off-limits for this site, and scraped map imagery would be neither ours nor licensed. Marker positions mean “this zone exists and belongs to this realm” — nothing more precise than that, because nothing more precise is sourceable.

Every fact on the page follows the site-wide sourcing rules: zone names and level bands are community-documented from the live global client (MetaBot's leveling guide, Game8's region maps, Questlog's map, the aion2.gaming.tools database), single-source claims are excluded outright, and the verification date is stamped below. When a patch adds a zone — and the level cap's next stretch will — the roster, the schematic and the date move together.

AION 2 interactive map FAQ

Is there an official AION 2 interactive map?

Not on the web. AION 2 has an in-game map, but NCSOFT publishes no official browser map or zone atlas. Everything called an "AION 2 interactive map" online — Game8's, Questlog's, Fextralife's, the dedicated apps — is community-built from the live client. Ours is deliberately the honest sibling: a verified schematic of the world's structure with sourced zone facts, linking out to the full marker databases instead of pretending to replicate them.

Which zones are in AION 2 at global launch?

The community-documented launch roster is five open-world zones — Poeta and Verteron for Elyos, Ishalgen and Altgard for Asmodians, plus the contested Abyss — with Vakron Sky Island documented as an Expedition. Two more zones, Eltnen and Morheim, are announced: NC revealed them at the Summer Festa Showcase and they have been live in KR/TW's Chapter 1 update since July 1, 2026, but they are not in the global client yet — the map draws them dashed with a KR/TW-only label.

What level is each AION 2 zone?

On the community-documented route: Poeta and Ishalgen cover levels 1–9 as the two starting islands; Verteron and Altgard carry their faction from level 10 to the current cap of 45; the Abyss opens in the endgame menu around 45. The cap and the bands are community-documented, not officially published — NCSOFT has not posted a zone-level table.

Where are the dungeons located on the map?

We don't draw dungeon pins, because no source we verified states which open-world zone holds each entrance. The five launch-window Expeditions — Krao Cave, Urugugu Canyon, Fire Temple, Draupnir and Vakron Sky Island — are listed in the table below, and the full entrance-level detail lives on our AION 2 dungeons page. A pin without a source would be exactly the kind of fabricated map data this site refuses to ship.

How is this map different from other AION 2 map sites?

The dedicated map apps compete on marker volume — tens of thousands of Empyrean Traces, mobs and gathering nodes. We compete on verification: every zone, level band and named place on this page carries its source and verification date, single-source claims are excluded rather than drawn, and the layout is explicitly a schematic, not a scraped in-game map. Use the big databases for pin hunting; use this page to understand the world and decide where to go next.
