AION 2 Twitch Drops: What to Do Before the Campaign Starts
AION 2 Twitch Drops reward you for watching other people play — and almost all of the work happens before the campaign goes live. Your NCSOFT account and your Twitch account have to be linked first, and the platform icon you pick at that moment decides whether the rewards reach the right account.

How to Link Your Twitch Account
Linking is a one-time action on your NCSOFT account, and it is the step that makes your watch time count.
NCSOFT devotes exactly one line to the process, in the body of the page rather than the FAQ: “Playing AION 2 on Steam? Select the Steam icon when you link your account.” That an official page singles this out tells you it is the part people get wrong. If you own AION 2 on Steam and pick a different platform icon, your Drops progress has nothing correct to attach to.
The entry point is on the official AION 2 Twitch Drops page, which carries a Link Your Twitch Account button — and, next to it, a Check My Drops button that opens your Twitch Drops Inventory. Watchers are also pointed at the AION 2 Twitch directory to find participating channels.
Do it before the campaign starts, not on launch day. Anything you watch after launch is only worth watching if the link is already in place.
Which Servers Are Eligible for AION 2 Twitch Drops
Global server only. From the official FAQ, verbatim:
“Drop rewards are available to AION 2 Global server players only, so players on the Korea and Taiwan servers aren’t eligible.”
Korea and Taiwan run separate AION 2 services, and this campaign does not extend to them. If you play on those servers, no amount of watching on a linked account will produce a reward.
If you are on the Global server and a claimed Drop hasn’t arrived in game, the official advice is to contact NCSOFT Support.
How to Earn and Claim Drops
Three things, all from the official FAQ.
1. Watch a participating channel. Each Drop has a watch-time requirement “set by the game developer”, in NCSOFT’s wording. NCSOFT does not currently publish the requirement, so treat any third-party claim of the form “watch X hours” as unconfirmed until the official page lists it.
2. You don’t have to stay on one channel. Official wording: “you can watch for a half hour on one channel, then switch to another channel and continue your progress toward the Drop.” Switching does not reset anything.
3. Claim it, then check. When you hit the required time, a claim message appears at the top of the Twitch navigation and directs you to the Drops Inventory page. If you miss the message, “you will still be able to claim the Drop for the duration of the campaign from the Drops Inventory page.” Progress on any active campaign is visible there at any time: Check My Drops.
What Rewards Are Confirmed So Far
Officially: nothing yet. As of 2026-09-28, NCSOFT’s Twitch Drops page describes the programme in general terms — “rewards that carry straight into the game” — but names no campaign, no reward list and no watch-time requirements. The page itself is live and set up; the FAQ reads as a standing explainer rather than a campaign announcement.
Community-reported: a thread on r/Aion2 titles the campaign “War for Atreia” and reports “Free outfit + more from twitch drops starting the 30th”, with players in the same thread asking whether the drop is available worldwide — which is the eligibility question answered above. This is community reporting, not confirmed by NCSOFT.
One thing worth knowing before you tell people the campaign isn’t happening: third-party Drop trackers build their archives by watching Twitch, and at least one currently shows no AION 2 campaign on file. That reflects the tracker’s lag, not the absence of a campaign. The official page is the source of truth.

Which icon should I pick when linking my account?
If you play AION 2 through Steam, select the Steam icon. NCSOFT's official page singles this out — the icon you choose determines which account your Drops are delivered to.
Do I need to watch the same channel the whole time?
No. You can earn progress on any participating channel in the campaign. You can watch for a half hour on one channel, switch to another, and keep the progress you have built.
Can I earn AION 2 Twitch Drops on the Korea or Taiwan servers?
No. Drop rewards are available to AION 2 Global server players only. Players on the Korea and Taiwan servers are not eligible.
Is the campaign live right now?
As of 2026-09-28 the official Twitch Drops page does not name a running campaign. The page is live and set up for one, and community reports point to a start around September 30 — but that date is community-reported, not official.
