AION 2 Cleric PvE Build (Global Launch)

An early-stage Cleric PvE build written against the AION 2 global client, from the guide that refuses to be a screenshot build: the Cleric is powerful early, and what makes it work is choosing the right specialization per content — three-tier skill priorities, four global stigma slots (six on KR/TW) with swap rules for dungeons versus nightmare runs, the Condemnation combo, and Daevanion board routing instead of a copy-paste layout. Class groundwork (role, weapon, party slot) is on the Cleric class guide.

About this guide’s source

This page is built from a single community source: a video guide by a content creator, framed explicitly for the global version of the game and for beginners. Its own pitch is the opposite of a copy-paste build: every skill has specializations and the right pick flexes by content — the guide’s examples run from nightmare dungeons to Expedition play — so it teaches the class rather than a screenshot. Everything below is Community-reported, not officially confirmed. Skill, stigma and passive names are transcribed from the video and may differ from the live client’s text — several are garbled, flagged inline; one name, Healing Light, also appears in the community wiki skill list on the Cleric class guide. Numbers are the creator’s on-screen readings. The source video contains a sponsored segment for a ping-booster service; sponsor claims are excluded from this page.

Specialization slots: the choice beginners get wrong

The mechanic this guide exists to teach. Every skill carries three specialization slots — and they do not all start open: the first unlocks at skill level 8, the second at 12, the third at 20. Until a skill is maxed you can run only one or two specializations at once, so the real build is not the skill list — it is which specialization you activate on each skill for the content in front of you. The guide’s recurring warning: do not screenshot a panel and copy it, because the right picks for a nightmare dungeon are not the right picks for an Expedition run (and so on through the content types it names, one of which — a “transcendence dungeon” — is transcribed and not yet in our own vocabulary).

One freedom worth knowing before the picks: respecialization is free. The guide treats swapping a specialization between dungeon types as routine maintenance, not a cost decision.

Skill priorities: the three-tier legend

After the regional quests, the guide grades every skill into three priority tiers — high, mid, low — and the level numbers it shows are the high-priority path: a mid-priority skill whose target reads +12 is one you run at 10 instead, and low-priority skills park earlier. The table is the global panel at a glance; the notes after it cover the mechanics the table cannot carry.

Cleric skill priorities and specializations for the global build
SkillPriority & levelSpecialization to mark
Earth's Retribution (transcribed)High — +12The MP line first (one MP skill is the floor for the class; the guide reads a ~3.5k pool). If your MP holds, the reset-chance line instead: 30% chance to shave 7 seconds off Bolt, 50% when marked
Healing Light (transcribed)High — +12Cast it multiple times per use, plus the 2% HP restore — percent-based heals scale with big HP pools like tanks
Divine Aura (transcribed)High — +1250% attack speed, always. Then flex: the charge line (pulls up to ~4 mobs) while farming; +3 seconds duration on bosses
Condemnation (transcribed)High — +12 (combo piece)12% more damage on single targets — the boss spam skill; its level-12 specialization resets skills on crit, which powers the combo below
Chain of Torment (transcribed; heard “chain of tournament”)High — +12 (combo piece)The 3-second damage-over-time line (debuff lingers) plus the PvE damage-tolerance reduction the guide reads as ~10% more party damage on the boss
Lightning Strike (transcribed)+12Guaranteed multi-hit — the point is certainty, not the RNG stat the Cleric does not build. First slot: restore MP or change to mobility, your playstyle call
Bolt (the guide's Aion 1 callback: Lightning Bolt)Mid — stated +12, run 1030% skill speed is mandatory (the full charge reads ~22,000); optional 20% more versus bosses. Level 16 unlocks the guaranteed crit that feeds the combo
Judgment of Thunder (transcribed)Low-to-mid — 8, or 10 if points allowPlain damage; the plus-two levels are just more damage
Debilitated Mark (transcribed)+8 for PvE (PvP wants 12)The defense-shred line — the guide reads it as about minus 50% defense on the target
Lightning Regeneration (transcribed)Mark, do not rush20% amount healed once you drop to 50% or less — a high-cooldown party sustain button
Radiant Recovery (transcribed)Mark the cooldown lineThe guide's highest healing skill, and it removes DoT debuffs from monsters or players; minus 3 seconds takes it from 12 to 9

The engine behind the top row: cast Bolt — your highest damage skill — then spam Earth’s Retribution, whose procs each knock 7 seconds off Bolt’s cooldown. At the unmarked 30% chance it happens sometimes; at the marked 50% it happens often enough that Bolt recasts mid-rotation, which is why Earth’s Retribution is worth +12 even though its own damage is not the point. The catch is mana: the reset line starves a fresh pool, so the guide’s advice for casual play is to keep the MP line and accept the slower loop.

The passives

Cleric passive priorities
PassiveWhat it doesPriority
Radiant Benefit (transcribed)Every 5 seconds, party members regenerate roughly 900 HP automatically whenever they hit something — with a full group on a boss, the guide's claim is that you barely need to heal at allThe first passive to enchant — party-wide throughput beats everything
The max-HP passive (name garbled; the transcript reads “increase caster max HP” with an “80%” figure as heard)Lifts your HP pool — the guide's on-screen reading is almost 11,000 HPMid-stage priority — take it once the heal passives are moving
The attack-based healing boost (transcribed “healing entrance”)Healing boost scaling on your attack powerHigh priority — the second heal passive to push
The defense passiveRaises defense and critical resistSecond layer — after the two above; Season 1 content barely hurts
The active shield (transcribed “prayer convention”)A protective shield once your HP drops; 1-minute cooldown, the guide reads about a 10% HP shieldAfter the layers above — fine, not urgent
Survival Pool (transcribed)Activates off Defiance — every class carries that pair; mostly PvP per the guide, usable in PvELow for this build
Heal Block (transcribed)PvP skillSkip for PvE
The crit-rate passive and Critical Damage BoostThe pair the guide rules out together: a fresh Cleric sits near 5% crit — nothing — and crit gear arrives mid-stage; late game, plus or minus 100 crit changes nothingSkip at the early stage — do not buy stats your character cannot trigger
One more low-tier passive (name garbled)The guide's verdict, verbatim in spirit: every class has a similar one and it is completely trashSkip

The Daevanion board: four boards, one routing puzzle

The guide puts the Taiwanese and global boards side by side to kill one complaint before it starts: yes, the global board is smaller — but only in its white stat taps (defense bonus, HP, crit and friends). The skill structure is identical: four boards — names garbled in the transcript, heard roughly as “Nzekiel, Ezekiel, Vasil and Trinil” — each holding 12 active and 10 passive skills, the same on both versions. Fewer white taps on global actually helps a new player: the skills sit closer together, so reaching them costs fewer points. The white lines themselves are nerfed — the guide’s side-by-side reads about 5% per point on Taiwan against roughly 1.5% on global for lines like combat speed and damage boost.

  • Run the lanes first — the damage-boost lanes raise passives (sometimes actives) as a side effect of routing. The board is a permanent fixture, not a per-dungeon swap like specializations: you reset cheaply, you will max it eventually, and there is no reason to agonize.
  • Watch your skill levels while routing. The guide’s demo shows Chain of Torment, Lightning Strike and Healing Light all dropping to 11 mid-route — stepping off a skill’s activation line un-activates it. The fix is the routing puzzle itself: the same skill sits on several nodes, and the far one asked 8 points where a near one costs 4 (its Chain of Torment example). Find the closest node for every priority skill.
  • The demo route, in order: the damage-boost lanes, then Chain of Torment one section ahead, Bolt close to the central line, Healing Light beside the Bolt line, and Earth’s Retribution and Lightning Strike off to the sides. The guide’s point about Bolt: you could take it to 30 and it would be wasted points — 12 is enough, flex the rest elsewhere.
  • Skip the crit-damage and multi-hit lines. Same logic as the passives: you do not crit at this stage. Multi-hit is the sharper example — the guide reads the global lines at about 1.5% per side, 3% total, against a meaningful threshold it puts above 60% (the Cleric’s real multi-hit comes from Lightning Strike’s guaranteed line, not from stats). Save the points for skill activations.

The stigma setup: four global slots, six on KR/TW

The slot math first, because it answers a common confusion: the KR/TW client runs six stigma slots, global ships four, and they open every five levels from 22 — 22, 27, 32 and 37. That is why you can be holding stigma shards from dungeons and AP trading with nowhere to put them: the slots are not open yet. The guide’s four picks for the early PvE window (the Season 1 roster — Krao Cave, Urugugu Canyon, Draupnir in the transcript’s garbled spelling — with Fire Temple the hard content months away):

Cleric early-game stigma picks
StigmaWhat it doesVerdict
Prayers Amplification (transcribed)The opener buff — the guide reads roughly 20% attack plus PvE damage for 12 seconds (transcription loose on the split)Slot it at +5; always open with it
Earth's Punishment (transcribed)At +5 it enables the Condemnation reset-on-crit combo — the guide cannot read the skill's own name clearly, but the combo works and needs this stigmaSlot it; the rotation section shows why
Lightning Protection (transcribed)The active buff — the guide compares it to the Chanter's mantra, weaker, and it does not function if a Chanter is in the party (which is why the guide says Clerics mostly avoid matchmaking into Chanter groups)Slot it; flex it out for the resurrection stigma when a Chanter is present
Noble Aura (transcribed; also heard “Noel Aura”)The latest update skill, also shipping on global: every hit you land makes the aura deal extra damage, and it raises your crit rateSlot it — the guide's “every class should be somewhat offensive” pick for a less-offensive class

The swap rules

One stigma the guide treats as a rotating spare: the resurrection stigma (transcribed “summoning resurrection”). You are not there to be the number one damage dealer, the guide says — in normal dungeons, where the group needs raises more than your personal damage, trade a damage pick for it; resets are free, so the swap costs nothing. Nightmare runs swap back to the damage setup.

Stigmas the build skips

  • The earth-damage stigma (name garbled) — a previous-generation damage pick with a cooldown too high to matter; +5 and +10 change little. Skip.
  • Absolute Real (transcribed; likely “Absolute Heal”) — powers up healing output, but for high-end PvE dungeon content you will not face for months. Skip for now.
  • The PvP chart — the healing-boost stigma for PvP, Immunity (transcribed), the root debuff for arena, the damage-tolerance party skill, and the debuff that cuts potion recovery: all PvP-side, all out.
  • Assault Mark (transcribed) — the universal engage-type skill; the guide has never seen anyone but the tank classes use it, because engaging that way makes every player target you.

Rotation: the Condemnation loop, and easy heals

With Lightning Protection and Noble Aura active, the offensive loop runs in one window: open with Prayers Amplification, land the defense debuff (Debilitated Mark), cast Bolt, hit Chain of Torment, then spam Condemnation for as long as the Earth’s Punishment debuff holds — under it, Condemnation always crits, and its level-12 reset-on-crit keeps handing it back to you. When the debuff expires the loop breaks: without it you wait for a natural crit to reset, and the guide calls that wait a big damage leak. Weave Bolt recasts and auto attacks into the Prayers Amplification window as it comes back around (the transcript’s wording here is loose; the shape is buff → debuff → Bolt → Chain → spam).

The healing side of the rotation is deliberately boring, and the guide says so: early content is simple, Radiant Recovery clears DoTs, Lightning Regeneration catches the sub-50% moments, and Healing Light covers the rest. Its own framing — if your group dodged everything they would not need you at all; people are not perfect, so they are. The same Season 1 simplicity the Templar build and Chanter build build their offense-first cases on.

Cleric PvE build FAQ

How many stigma slots does the Cleric have in AION 2 global?

Four, unlocking one every five levels from 22: first slot at 22, then 27, 32 and 37. That cadence is why you can hold stigma shards but not socket them — the slots simply are not open yet. The KR/TW client runs six slots; the global client ships four. Community-reported, not officially confirmed.

Which stigmas should an early Cleric slot?

The guide's four for early PvE: Prayers Amplification at +5 (the attack-and-PvE-damage buff you open with), Earth's Punishment at +5 (it enables the Condemnation reset combo), Lightning Protection (the active buff, dead weight if a Chanter is present) and Noble Aura (damage procs on your hits plus crit rate). Swap rules apply: normal dungeons favor trading a damage pick for the resurrection stigma — resets are free — and nightmare runs swap back.

How does the Cleric Condemnation combo work?

Three pieces: Chain of Torment, the Earth's Punishment stigma and Condemnation. Hit Chain of Torment first, then Condemnation; while the Earth's Punishment debuff is on the target, Condemnation always crits — and its own level-12 specialization resets skills on crit, so the reset chains into more Condemnations for the whole debuff window. Without the debuff you wait for a natural crit to reset it, which the guide calls a big damage leak.

How is the global Cleric Daevanion board different from the Taiwanese one?

The skill structure is identical — four boards (names garbled in the transcript), each holding 12 active and 10 passive skills, and you fill the whole thing eventually. Two differences: the global board has fewer white stat taps, so skills sit closer and cost fewer points to reach, and the white lines themselves are nerfed (the guide reads ~5% per point on Taiwan versus ~1.5% on global). Community-reported, not officially confirmed.
